The Fiddle Muff is to be used as an attractive, tactile, multi-sensory comforter.

It provides an alternative to tearing up tissues or picking at skin

Machine washable up to 40 degrees. Think of it like putting a teddy bear in the machine! The supplier does recommend that the removable parts such as buttons and beads are washed by hand separately to not damage your washing machine. Alternatively you could use a zipped lingerie bag.
