A lovely matchbox containing forget-me-not seeds which are the perfect way to remember a loved one or occasion.

The gorgeous Forget-me-not seed ball tubes, each contain 20 seed balls, packed with wildlife-friendly forget-me-not seeds. They work well in window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds and wildlife gardens. They make brilliant wedding favours or thoughtful gifts.

These forget-me-not seeds are held in clay, peat-free compost (to naturally protect the seeds from being eaten by birds and insects) and chilli powder (to deter slugs and snails from eating the young shoots).

There are 20 balls in each tube, and around 30 seeds per ball.

Best planted in Spring or Autumn, leaving at least 10cm between each ball, the seeds will germinate with water. Shoots can be seen within 2-4 weeks, but will also bloom the following year.  We would advise using 20 seedballs per square metre, or 3-5 seed balls for a 35cm container.

Each ball is made from a mixture of peat-free compost, clay, chilli powder and native UK wildflower seeds - a simple way to grow wildflowers from seed that naturally protects the seed from common seed predators.

How it works
  • Try them in a pot in a nice sunny spot so it's easy to keep an eye on them. If in a garden avoid scattering onto grass. Scatter on top of soil or compost (no digging required) in a garden bed or balcony pot, water well and nature will do the rest. 
  • Water them every day when there isn't any rain, keeping them as moist as possible will help them along - but they can still take 4 weeks to show signs of growth.
  • If there are lots of squirrels around it might be worth covering the pot as they can sometimes pinch the seedballs!
