Sibstar is a debit card and app designed specifically for people living with dementia, helping them manage everyday money safely, retain their independence while reducing their risk of fraud, over spending and money mismanagement.

Sibstar was founded by Jayne Sibley, inspired by her personal experience caring for her parents, both of whom lived with dementia. Sibstar, was developed in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society and 7.5% of of Sibstar’s net profit goes back to the charity.
Key features

The person with dementia has the debit card loaded with a chosen amount of money. Then the app can either be on their phone or the phone of a Supporter. In the app you can manage how and where the money can be used. 

You can:

  • Set daily and monthly and ATM spending limits
  • Switch on/off online and phone use
  • Instantly freeze or unfreeze the card
  • Receive real-time notifications to your phone every time it’s used, showing how much was spent, when and where
  • Set an auto top, so the debit card is automatically ‘topped up’ if needed
  • Reveal the PIN securely in the app if it gets forgotten

All this functionality can be changed instantly and remotely, allowing Sibstar to adapt to a person’s changing needs. 

You don’t have to change anything about your existing bank account.  Sibstar is like a separate ‘purse’ just for your spending money, everything else stays exactly the same. 

How it works

  2. Complete your contact details and one of your friendly customer service team will give you a call to answer any questions
  3. OR you can download the SIbstar app directly from the App Store or Google Play. Just search ‘Sibstar’, download the app and get started.

There is a £4.99 set up fee and £4.99 monthly subscription for Sibstar.

Delivery

Your order will be processed promptly, and we expect to deliver in three to five working days, however some products are despatched directly from the supplier and may take longer, so please allow up to 14 days for standard delivery.

  • Standard UK delivery - £3.99 Royal Mail 2nd class delivery is usually 2-5 days.
  • Express UK delivery - £7.99 DPD Express delivery is currently 1-2 days. Orders placed by 1.00pm, Monday-Thursday, are despatched for the next working day. There is no next-day service on Friday for weekend delivery.
  • Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man and Gibraltar - Standard UK delivery only.
  • International - We do not currently offer international delivery.
  • Urgent or tracked orders - Please choose express delivery or call our team on 0333 366 0035 (local rate) for advice.

Returns

If a product is unsuitable or you’re unhappy we offer a 28-day return policy for any product purchased from our website.

We will replace the goods or refund your money, providing the product is returned as delivered, in it's original packaging, complete and undamaged.

Postage costs will not be refunded.
