Precious Petzzz - Grey Tabby Cat

I bought this for my mother who has Alzheimers. She absolutely loved it. Although initially I thought it to be a bit 'bony', once it was 'breathing' it was perfect. Mum is now working out a name for it.

Mum loves her new cat - she talks to it and strokes it, she thinks it’s real! Calms her down too. The only downside is, no off switch, unless you take the battery out. That said, the battery is supposed to last 3 months. Mum’s carer told me it’s the best birthday present I could have bought her.

The cat is in a fixed position and quite hard but looks nice. There is no on and off switch so unless you keep the red tab (you pull to start cats breathing feature) to put back in battery area it will stay on for 3 months solid till it runs out of battery. Mum sat with it on her knee and petted it. If had had a on and off switch would be ideal but can see the continuous breathing noise getting annoying after a while as it did with us.

Very cute but small - more of a kitten than a cat. Disappointed there is no on/off switch and dont like to keep it on continuously. So far my husband hasnt touched it but visitors love it.

On initial viewing the cat is very appealing. The coat feels very soft to stroke and the rate of ‘breathing’ seems realistic. Where the tail is attached there is an obvious edge to the fur and where the unit moves up and down the direction of fur acts outwards so the base of the material is visible. I miss my two cats who died about 5 years ago and this is a much appreciated alternative to caring for a real cat. I am sitting it on my lap and stroking it a few times a day. Wonderful.
